Hello everyone, my name is Lee Golden. My family and I live
outside of Greencastle, Pennsylvania. We own and operate a farm among the
rolling hills of the Cumberland Valley. I am self-employed as a farrier. My
interest in rodeo goes back to the mid nineties. I started going to jackpot bull
ridings with a friend who was fighting bulls. I rode bulls for a year, but my
real passion was riding saddle broncs. I bought my first bronc saddle in 1996
and rode for seven years.
My life took a turn in 2003 and priorities changed. I still think about riding
broncs, but in order to stay active in the rodeo business, I decided to start a
bucking bull breeding program. I had access to a small herd of Longhorn cows and
began breeding them to rodeo bred bulls. Along with those cows, I purchased some
cows with proven genetics. I took an artificial insemination course and have my
own semen tank. Though it's much harder to AI the hot cows, I still like having
that option. This is an exciting time to be in this business. Strong genetics and good management produce superior bucking bulls.
I've been blessed with a son, Rhys, a future partner in Golden Rodeo Stock. Those that I wish to thank for making this program possible are my parents Lee Sr. and Linda, Dave Martin, Denny Thorsell, Matt Keller, Mark Reed, and Sonny and Johnny Williams. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy the site.
